Microshading, also known as powder brows or ombre brows, is a cosmetic procedure used to enhance and shape the eyebrows. It is a semi-permanent technique that involves depositing pigment into the upper layer of the skin using a handheld tool or machine. Unlike microblading, which creates individual hairstrokes, microshading creates a soft, powdered effect that resembles filled-in eyebrows. This technique is often chosen by people looking for a more defined and polished eyebrow appearance. It typically lasts longer than microblading and requires less frequent touch-ups.

WHO IS MICROSHADING BEST FOR?
Microshading is actually a combo technique of microblading and shading. This technique is great for clients with normal to moderately oily skin. So if your skin is too oily for microblading alone, combo brows might be a viable option. For someone with very sparse brows, the shading can give the brow more body, while the hair-strokes keep it looking natural.
- Less touch up required
- Great for all skin types
- Especially great for mature skin
MICROSHADING BETTER THAN MICROBLADING?
Combo brows are a fusion of microblading and shading, and they give a shaded look of the brows, while microblading gives a more natural look.
How Long Does Microshading Last?
Permanent makeup may undergo slight fading or color changes over the years. The longevity of the pigments varies depending on factors such as skin type, sun exposure, and individual healing processes. Nevertheless, advancements in pigment formulations and application techniques have led to improved color retention, providing lasting results. Microblading should last anywhere from 1 year to 3 years before requiring a touch-up.
How Long Does Microblading Takes to Heal?
Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very unnatural looking immediately after the procedure. The color of the pigment will appear much darker the next day.
The entire healing process will take from 10 - 14 days depending on your body regeneration and age. Please avoid wet activities that expose your skin heavily to water or your own sweat like workout or swiming for the first two-week. The area will be fully healed 30 days after the procedure was done.
Is Permanent Makeup Expensive?
"You get what you pay for"
You are paying for the value, detailed and skill of a well trained professional artist who is performing the microshading technique on you. Hence the price is uncomparable and may vary depend on who you are working with.
What Kind of Food to Avoid after The Procedure?
After a microshading procedure, it is important to avoid certain types of food in order to ensure proper healing and the best results. Some foods to avoid include spicy foods, as they can cause irritation and inflammation in the treated area. Additionally, it is advised to avoid foods that are high in salt, as they can lead to retention of fluids and swelling. Alcohol and caffeine should also be avoided, as they can dehydrate the body and slow down the healing process.
Avoid Water for The First 24 Hours !
After having microshading done, it is recommended to avoid water for at least 24 hours. This is because during the healing process, the pigment needs time to settle into the skin and any exposure to water can disrupt this process. Water can cause the pigment to fade or be washed away completely.
It is important to follow this recommendation as it will ensure that the microshading results are long-lasting and satisfactory. During the first 24 hours after the procedure, it is best to avoid activities that involve water, such as swimming, showering, or washing the face.
Does Microshading Hurt?
Because a numbing cream is applied, discomfort is typically described as minimal.
A lot of our clients describe the experience similar to intensified tweezing or threading, while some fall asleep during the procedure.
Who Should Not Get Microshading Done?
Fortunately, this technique works with most of the skin types !
Please be noted that if you are having any health conditions or are on any kind of medications, it may be best for you to wait untill you body is heal before booking a microshading procedure.
Does Microshading Scar?
Microshading itself will not cause scarring. What can cause scarring after a Microshading procedure is picking at the healing skin. This is why it is extremely important to make sure you WILL NOT pick at any shredding/flaking skin after they have gone through a Microshading procedure. Picking could result in the loss of pigment as well as scarring.
